CIF History

CIF – Highlights in History 1984 – Guadalupe Christian Fellowship ( GCF ) was born out of the persevering evangelistic efforts of students from the MANILA BIBLE INSTITUTE. Ptr. Francis Cantor was its first pastor. When he was assigned to plant a church in Pampanga, Ptr. Cleofe Isla led the church and started the discipleship & leadership training of the new believers.

1987 – When Ptr. Cleofe Isla got married and went to the US, Ptr. Edgar Banaga took over for two years .

1989 –  Ptr. Edgar was led to plant a church in the US, Ptr. Jessie Suganob was installed as new pastor

1992 – God gave Ptr. Jess Suganob the vision to change the name of the church from Guadalupe Christian Fellowship to CHRIST’S INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP. Its 5 yr. plan was laid focussing on  reaching more souls in the Philippines and all over the world.

1994 –  Ptr. Jess Suganob started to plant the first CIF Church in the California, Ptr. Isagani Kingking was handed the baton of leadership.

1995 –   Ptr. Gani rallied the church in its church planting adventures in Cebu City, Mandaluyong City, Toledo City, Iriga City, Ilo-ilo, Zambales, Pampanga, Pangasinan & Buhi.

1998 – CIF transitioned into a Cell Church. That year  also gave birth to CIF’s  Learning Center Ministry: CHRIST’S INT’L LEARNING CENTER , which started with 23 students from Nursery to Pre-school.

2002 – CIF fully transitioned into a G-12 CHURCH. Decision for Christ fired up. Cells multiplied. New leaders were raised. More than 100 members attended the Encounter God Retreat 2004 – Ptr. Gani completed his 1st generation of 12 disciples. CIF holds its own Encounter God Retreat and strengthens its  Nets.

2005 – Children’s Church was launched and the Different Nets bloomed .

2006 – CIF-Butuan City  and CIF- Horizon Hotel were born. CIF -Makati & Horizon  offers a total of  5 services every Sunday.
